Hannah Kirchen's Star Maiden Tarot is an homage to Astraea, the Greek goddess of justice, and we see her in the constellation Virgo. The mission of this Tarot is keeping the balance in our physical and spiritual worlds. 

In the Minors, the 2, 3, and 4 of each suit represents the cardinal signs; 5, 6, 7 designate the fixed signs; and 8, 9, 10 correspond with the mutable signs. Ranking-wise, in this deck the Queens come before the Kings. 

I love the full color guidebook and metallic aquamarine edging. Production value here via U.S. Games is stellar! If zodiac signs could describe vibes, then Star Maiden Tarot is Virgo-Libra for sure. 

The art style has almost an asian-esque paper cut art aesthetic to it, meets the reenactment of folktales through medieval puppet theatre. Also, I'm really loving this color palette.

The Star Maiden Tarot deck really stands out to me because of the gorgeous colors used in its creation. As an Astrologist myself I love the theme towards astrology and the celebration of the divine feminine. The artwork is vibrant and speaks to me of cosmic connections with so many starry night backgrounds. I love the font that is used on all the cards because they are beautiful but also very readable. Behind the card titles is a dark border making it so much easier to read them as well. This is a major plus for me because as I get older my eyes are not as good as they used to be. The card stock of this deck is premium linen with a gorgeous teal colored metallic gilding. This gilding isn't sharp and it is a beautiful shuffle for sure. The design on the back of the cards is a beautiful and reversable starry night design showcasing a constellation. It does have a copyright on the backs of the cards, of which I am never a fan of that, however at least it is small and, on both sides, so that you cannot tell the upright or reversed position of the cards. The book is of very high quality with premium paper and is in full color. The card size is the perfect standard tarot size, which makes it ideal to work with. The book comes with a tarot spread for new moon and full moon and offers an upright and reversed meaning for each card. This deck will pair nicely with many decks in my collection including my 13 Sign Astrology Oracle deck that I created. I would highly recommend this deck for beginners and advanced readers alike. I even love the quality of the box and it's also beautiful in its design.

The Star Maiden Tarot gets 10 out of 5 stars! The astrological associations add an exciting perspective to a deck that is already outstanding from every other standpoint! The gorgeous folk art inspired artwork, the rich images, the fairytale book vibe, the jewel tones colors, the lushious linen cardstock, the dazzling teal metallic gilding are a true treat for the senses. The messages in the substantial guidebook are straightforward, and yet supportive and empowering. Highly recommended.

This deck was a pleasant surprise, and I was in awe upon opening the deck as I wasn't sure what to expect.  The package presentation is gorgeous!  It comes in a hard case two-part box with the bottom of the box in a turquoise color with a matching ribbon to make it easier to pull out the deck and at the bottom of the box on the inside is printed a cup, wand, sword and pentacle representing the four minor suites of the deck that adds a really nice touch to the box.  The cards themselves feel like a linen cardstock and have beautiful gilt edges in teal that makes the cards feel extra special.  The deck follows the RWS System but with a totally different color scheme and a different twist to some of the illustrations based on the artist's interpretations which adds a nice, fresh look and feel to the familiar RWS.  If you are a RWS Tarot Collector but want something new and a little different but yet still have the RWS feel/meaning to the cards, you may enjoy this deck.  The deck also comes with a very nice, colorful, hefty guidebook with semi-gloss pages that comes with upright and reversed meanings.  A refreshing new deck for RWS Fans/Collectors for sure!

The production on this deck is top notch in my opinion. I love the linen finish with the metallic blue edges, which combined with the backs feels very celestial and beautiful! Along with its quirky art and lovey colors, it offers cultural diversity and a variation of skin tones. I enjoyed seeing that although this is a goddess deck, and it does lean into the strength of the feminine with the Queens appearing as the highest rank of the court cards, the deck still offers a very good balance of male and female presenting figures. The guidebook offers practical advice for each card.

I came across this deck on Amazon a month ago or so and was immediately drawn to the art style of the box cover. I added it to my wish list for later. I didn’t even realize it was a Libra themed deck until later when I viewed an unboxing video of it on Youtube. The backs of the cards depict Libra constellation. The Star Maiden is Astraea, the Goddess of justice. The creator of the deck is an October Libra just like me. So naturally, i had to have this deck. It didn’t disappoint. It is so accurate for me. And the cards are very easy to read. The book is in color and very helpful. Very pleased with the deck. Gotta find an oracle deck to pair it up with now.

Wow this feels like indie deck quality, US games just knocked it out of the park! The cards have a linen feel with great flexibility but seem quite durable at the same time (plus they are gilded). And the artwork is so pretty and whimsical and reminds me of fairytales from childhood. I love it so much!
