What Customers Are Saying About Black & White Rider-Waite® Tarot Deck

This iconic tarot deck has been re-imagined and served in so many different guises and sauces, but this black and white version will go down for me as one of the most elegant and pristine--clean linework, seductive pewter black edging, luscious linen finished cardstock, lovely geometric patterned backs, and that signature Pixie's original handwriting I love. A class act!

When I saw U.S. Games announced their Black & White tarot deck I got so excited! And then they were so kind to send me a copy. It’s on pre-order right now and should be available mid October.

The deck is the original line artwork and hand-drawn titles from 1909 by Pamela Colman Smith.

It has black foil gilded edges and a linen card stock finish. I don’t normally go for gilded decks because I feel like they don’t shuffle well, but this deck shuffles like a dream. I did a quick live yesterday and shuffled it for the first time and was in love! The card stock isn’t too rigid, nor is it too flimsy. This is in no way an ad - I’m just genuinely geeking out over how much I love this deck.

This is going to be my daily draw deck for a while.

If you are a Rider Waite Smith Deck collector, this would be a great addition to add to your collection.  The card stock has a nice linen feel and shuffles beautifully and the special black foil gilded edges adds an extra touch of class to the deck as you shuffle. As the title suggests, it is a black and white deck and gives a fresh new look to your readings.  A great fresh new look to the classic and trusted Rider Waite Smith, you cannot go wrong with this deck!

If you are a collector of RWS decks, this is definitely one to consider. It’s a deck of Pixie’s artwork and lettering without the color. Some of the details are easier to make out in this way, some of them not so much, but as a whole, the borderless, airy images are striking when they are laid out on a table. I love the classical back design and and of course the linen stock is lovely to shuffle but my favorite thing about the production is this sleek metallic black edging. What a fabulous surprise!

I wasn't sure at first about an all black and white deck. But honestly this deck reads really wonderfully for me. I spent months with this deck, and the non color didn't bother me at all. This is a classic RWS with Pixie's original line work. If you're a collector the classy clean design will be a perfect addition. If you are a reader, this deck shuffles so well with a linen stock. Even my small hands can riffle shuffle the deck. I also love the look of the black guilded edges. The guidebook is basic. It has a little more than a generic white book, and I enjoyed both the tarot spreads. It also has a few pages for notes.  I wasn't disappointed with the meanings even in the basic form. It allowed me to really draw out my own interpretations. As a whole this beautiful deck is versatile, easy to work with, and a great addition to my personal collection.

Color me shocked! This Black & White Rider Waite Tarot deck blew me away! I am not usually a fan of RWS clone decks and also of Black and White only decks because I am a lover of full color. This deck surprised me with it's level of versatility. I have seen many Rider Waite Tarot decks and just do not like the coloring of those decks and this deck just totally opened that right up. This is officially my favorite Rider Waite Clone Tarot deck because of it's many possibilities and versatility with other decks. I have a quite large tarot collection and some of those decks that I love are just so hard to pair with other tarot decks because of the coloring. This deck is so versatile you could color it in to match your hard to pair oracle decks. Because of the Black & White theme it also went so beautifully with several of my decks that had the white edges that I didn't normally like...LOL This deck is a game changer for me, and I don't ever say that lightly because I have a large collection. You can see a very thorough walk through and tons of amazing pairings for this deck on my YouTube channel at Amethyst Ascension. I'm loving this deck!

I bought this without seeing a preview so I had no idea how great it was.  It is now my favorite RWS deck.  Awesome job, US Games!  Thank you for making quality decks for those of us who love quality decks!
