The artwork of this deck instantly brought an inquisitive smile and expression to my face. As a 53-year-old woman, this deck felt so youthful and fresh, and it really had me rethinking some of the tarot archetypal meanings. As a tarot reader I cherish a deck that can make me look through fresh eyes because I feel like that is how we grow. When I look through a deck, I am looking for the meaning I know to show itself in the artwork. Although I do absolutely think this deck does that, it feels like it does it in a way that it is more reflective of our modern society and concepts. The artwork and characters in this deck are more youthful and when we think of the concept of this deck, it is perfect. The card stock is not my favorite because it is glossy and the book is wonderful, however the writing is so tiny, i need my reading glasses on. The formatting and write ups for each card are fantastic though, and I love how it talks about magic in the book and the extra information in the back along with a couple of great spreads. Although I am not a fan of the box type, that is never a deal breaker for me. I love how this deck forces me to expand my perception and brings a fresh and almost renewed perspective to me while reading with it. We are used to think of witches in terms of women and men living in isolation and practicing their magick in a state of deep connection with Nature. With a focus on themes of 'isolation', and 'self-acceptance' (very common among our younger generations more than ever before), the artwork brilliantly brings to the fore the struggles we encounter and the miracles of magic we so often fail to recognize. With a style that emphasizes emotions, facial expressions, and flashed out characters, this tarot deck fits the traditional mold of the Raider Waite Smith reading system except for those 'moments' where it features a more fluid approach toward the typical rendering of some of the arcana (see for example the Death card, Judgement, Star, Moon, Ace of Swords, six of Swords, two of Pentacles, six of Pentacles, to name a few). And for this reason, FIND YOUR OWN MAGIC TAROT lends itself to highly emotive and intuitive readings.
