Tanya Bond created the Totem Guardians Oracle Deck as a tool for her own personal healing work, exploring lessons that others can easily integrate into their spiritual journeys. For the visual inspiration she turned to the world of fauna familiars, presenting both natural and supernatural creatures. Some are magical and mythical, a few turn up as shapeshifters, all appear in harmony with their human companions. Each card delivers an empowering message that resonates with the archetypal energy of the animal it represents. Working with these 42 cards and 60-page booklet, you will find much encouragement and guidance.

What Customers Are Saying About Totem Guardians Oracle Deck

This deck is full of beautifully glowing oil paintings of youthful figures and animals that feel heartfelt and refreshing.  The guidebook offers helpful insights to consider and questions to ask yourself to deepen why the archetype or energy of the card could be showing up in your life right now. Since the title was Totem Guardians, it felt like there was an opportunity missed to provide a sentence or two containing more specific information about the totems presented, which cultures they stem from or perhaps the stories behind the artist’s inspiration.  Overall, I felt this could be an excellent deck for daily energy pulls or to pull before journaling, for an adult. Although the artwork is youthful, the concepts are not, so I personally would not suggest this deck for a child or young teenager without supervision. I have discovered that it reads very well in tandem with Elle Qui Oracle and The Witching Hour Oracle, as they have similar energies and therefore support each other well, and am looking forward to using them together in readings going forward.

The Totem Guardians Oracle Deck is truly a beautiful guide for anyone digging into shadow work and childhood and familiar wounds. Tanya Bond the decks creator and artist beautifully combines fauna, animals, and humans in various ways to help during these difficult times. The artwork is beautiful and different and enchanting at the same time. These guardian cards accompanied by the wonderful write ups in the book do not give you the answers, however they can strongly help the individual find encouragement and empowerment along their journey of self-discovery and integration of shadows. There are 42 cards in this oracle deck. They are made of beautiful smooth cardstock and although they are not mat, they are not super shiny either. They shuffle and fan beautifully and are a wonderful addition to anyone's collection that is about to undergo this type of work in their practice. I do have a full walk through on my YouTube channel at Amethyst Ascension for anyone that is interested in seeing how these cards read as well.

The Totem Guardians deck is actually quite cute and even a little fae. The art for the cards are animal and human mixtures which I quite enjoyed. I didn't use this deck like I do my other Oracles. Instead if drawing 3 cards for a reading or adding it to a tarot reading, I pulled cards within moments of my day. They are perfect moment cards. They hone in on the energy and guide you through it. They don't read like future reading cards to me more like energy reading and that shifts constantly.
Some days I pulled several through out the day for a good message while I was with an experience. I feel like these cards would be great as altar cards, daily pulls for energy work, and journaling. The only trouble I had was these cards were a bit long for a riffle shuffle by me... but I have small hands. Overall the deck is well thought out. Reads energy on point, and would be great for beginners to introduce the idea of oracle or energy readings.
