This deck really surprised me. I thought the Happy Halloween Tarot was going to be just a fun and very gimmicky deck. Although it has a very gimmicky look to it, which makes it perfect for Halloween time, it is so much more than that. First let me start off by saying the artwork is EVERYTHING! It is the perfect artwork for the season but also for going deeper into the shadow without it being scary. Halloween is after all the time of year when the veil is thinnest and we communicate with what lurks in the darkness, including our own darkness. When I started reading out of the book for each of these descriptions, I instantly seen how valuable this deck could and would be for me. Soni Graves has created a wonderfully approachable and fun deck for hard hitting readings. As a witch I think this is the perfect deck for any time of year also. The main colors of this deck also make an impact of how I use this deck. Black for banishing negativity and protection, Orange for opening up opportunities and our paths forward, and white for purity of thought and communication! Does it get much better than that? The card stock is a beautiful sturdier linen in a standard tarot size. The box is perfect for this deck with its two-piece design. I am so happy with this deck and I would highly recommend it for everyone.
