Ancient Animal Wisdom
Ancient Animal Wisdom

What customers are saying about Ancient Animal Wisdom oracle

These cards are alive with color, creating a “mood” that flows into and around the person viewing and using them. Artistic interpretations of the animals (and trees) are at various times whimsical (Baboon, Frog), realistic (Mountain Zebra, Wildebeest), and what I would call “psychedelic” (Black Mamba Snake, Flamingo). Then there’s the Honey Badger, assigned the perfect keyword: Fierce. The style is, in one sense, primitive, but also quite complex.

As the owner of many animal-themed oracle and tarot decks, I am always on the lookout for something different in that realm. Ancient Animal Wisdom focuses on African animals, portraying them with vivid color and a somewhat abstract style – but never so abstract that you can’t tell what animal (or tree) is being shown. I love that the images on these cards evoke a response, a feeling, a reaction. My gaze dwells on the images, enjoying the free flowing colors and clever details. I am looking forward to reading with this deck!

Zanna Starr, Tarot Notes blog

The energy and esoteric wisdom of 38 animal spirit guides from Africa are captured in this exotic deck. The symbolism is also aligned with traditional numerology, increasing the power of each card for use in both meditation and divination.

The illustrations hint at the powerful primitive art of Africa, but are infused with an astral realm imaginative stream, which transports them out the physical realm and into the world of spirit. Each image speaks from the card, challenging the observer to delve into its insightful world and look for the secrets that are hidden from the self-aware consciousness.

It's an exciting new deck for novices and seasoned oracle readers alike.

Botanical Inspirations Deck & Book Set
Botanical Inspirations Deck & Book Set

What customers are saying about Botanical Inspirations

So many things to love about this deck and book set, it’s hard to know where to start – but I’m going to start with the packaging, which is superb. The top of the sturdy flip-top cardboard box features a lush collage of Pierre-Joseph Redouté’s Victorian flower art, including the dahlia, coreopsis, asters, forget-me-nots, and amaryllis, among others. This box is roomy enough for a perfect-bound guidebook with the same illustration on its cover, the deck of 44 cards, a trifold pamphlet listing keywords for all of the flowers shown on the cards, and an organza pouch the same shade of mint green as the box, booklet, pamphlet, and card backs. Also included is a card providing detailed information about Redouté, who was born in 1759 to a Flemish family of decorative painters.

By the late 1790s, Redouté was the most famous and sought after flower painter in Europe. Card faces are a tan parchment color, an attractive background for the artwork. The cards do a beautiful job of combining science and sentiment. At the top, centered, is the common name of the flower, with the Latin name or alternative name centered immediately under that in flowery script. Next comes the Redouté’s illustration of the flower. The style is realistic, and it is easy to see how the artist was influenced by the botanist Charles Louis L'Héritier, who offered Redouté free access to his botanical library and plant collection. Centered below the artwork is the meaning attributed to that flower. Finally, also centered, we have a quotation that reflects that symbolism.

For each flower, the guidebook provides a black-and-white version of the Redouté illustration, the common name and Latin name for the flower, symbolism, quotation, a long paragraph discussing the flower and its meaning, and an Inspirational Message. The eloquent writing in the guidebook is a pleasure to read, offering tidbits of the fascinating history and cultural interpretations associated with each flower. The Botanical Inspirations cards are perfect for drawing a daily Affirmation, and the guidebook can be used as a resource when researching the various flowers and their meanings.

—Zanna Starr, Tarot Notes

The Botanical Inspirations Deck, by Lynn Araujo, comes beautifully packaged in a sturdy floral box with a lovely spring green deck bag. The deck and box set includes a Secret Language of Flowers fold-out reference guide that is a shortcut to understanding the secret meaning of the flowers. If you are an herbalist and gardener like myself, you will appreciate the simple beauty and vintage look and feel of this deck. The cardstock is substantial, but shuffles well and the cards have wonderfully rounded corners, which add to the luxury feel of this wonderful deck. The illustrator is Pierre-Joseph Redoute (1759-1840), and the pictures are classic illustrations that everyone can relate to in a reading. Who can resist the "Red Rose" which Lynn calls her card of Hidden Secrets. Red Roses have been given as a sign of romantic love as far back as antiquity. On the card, Ms. Araujo quotes Buddha with the phrase "Three things cannot be hidden, the sun, the moon, and the truth." No truer words have been spoken. It is said that romantic love is the elixir of the Gods and the card of the Red Rose when pulled speaks to our inner-longing to love and be loved without condition. If you are looking for a beautiful and inspirational deck to begin your day with by pulling one flower out of the deck to meditate on then look no further than the Botanical Inspirations Deck, by Lynn Araujo, beautifully published by U.S. Games Systems, Inc.
You won't be disappointed!

—Karen Hollis, Readings by Karen

Wow! It is beautiful with fantastic cardstock I love the box, booklet, pamphlet and bag that comes with it. It full of amazing flowers and quotes. I think all decks (Oracle, Tarot and Lenormand) should be made at this level of quality!

—“Lost Lovely Lady”

I'm a professional Tarot consultant. My first word when I got this deck was, "WOW." The design is the very first thing that caught my eye. The artwork of Pierre-Joseph Redouté has had a long life due to the nature of his talent. He saw things and brought out details in flowers that no one else did. The box that comes with this deck puts me in mind of a miniature writing box from the Victorian era. It is a solidly constructed box too. There's even a small bag for the cards inside the box. The ribbon on the lid along with the lift-out ribbon makes the box a real stand-out.

The cards themselves are quality. They have the images of the flowers against a cream background which enhances the antique effect. You get the name of the flower at the top with the Latin name beneath. At the bottom of the card, you are given a combination keyword + key phrase. Then the card is completed by a quote.

Author Lynn Araujo knows her flowers too. It is obvious that she is fluent in the language of flowers. I particularly liked that she didn't just stick to one cultural reference. Her knowledge has depth to it that sings through her writing.

Celtic Lenormand
Celtic Lenormand

What customers are saying about Celtic Lenormand

The Celtic Lenormand is an interesting take on Lenormand created by Chloë McCracken and Will Worthington.  It expands, stretches and allows for a customized reading with the extra cards that have been added.

In your kit you will get 45 cards and a guidebook in a sturdy box.  The card size is perfect for Lenormand style decks and the finish on the cards allows for smooth shuffling.  The guidebook explains what makes this is a pagan-themed deck.

The guidebook for The Celtic Lenormand far exceeds the “little white book” that we usually find with decks.  For example each card-even the extra cards have extensive keywords, timing, person, playing card association, description, meanings, spiritual readings, dark and light, spell use, affirmation and deity.

There are 13 illustrated layouts in the guidebook and a small section on combining cards.

I recommend this deck to anyone who has an interest in Lenormand decks and especially to those who walk the pagan path.  With the added cards you can customize your readings to fit almost any relationship dynamic. If you want a more traditional reading you can remove the extra cards.  I am impressed with this deck, the guidebook and the extensive information provided.

—Mary Nale, Attune Magazine

As a follower of Chloë McCracken’s blog Inner Whispers, a fan of Will Worthington’s art, and a lover of all things Celtic, I was pretty sure I was going to like the Celtic Lenormand. As it turns out, I don’t just like it, I love it. The art is exquisite, as expected, and Chloë delivers much more in the accompanying book than I could have imagined. I am looking forward to trying some of the spreads provided in the book and sharing them on my blog,Tarot Notes.

The images are Celtic versions of the traditional Lenormand deck images. In addition, symbolism shown in the images is designed to represent important aspects of the pagan path and perception of the world. The eight sabbats are represented, as are the phases of the moon. Specific cards are included for the god and goddess, as well as suggestions for deities appropriate to the other cards. The deck contains two tree cards for the God (the Oak and the Holly), three different Birds cards that reflect the three aspects of the Goddess (Maiden/Mother/Crone), an additional snake card that reflects the more positive aspects of the snake; a cat card (cats are traditional familiars); and four additional “people” cards.

The backdrop for the cards in the Celtic Lenormand is the landscape of Brittany, in the north of France. The colors are intense, expressing a variety of tones or moods. The images are sharp, clear, and realistic.

Zanna Starr, Tarot Notes

This creative and beautifully illustrated deck of 45 cards parlays the popular Lenormand deck into a new and unique divinatory tool. Nine cards have been added to the standard Lenormand lineup and the images have all been related to Celtic tradition. The deck reflects the pantheon of pagan gods and goddesses, the phases of the moon, the Wheel of the Year, and the natural elements.

Those who are seasoned Lenormand readers can use the standard 36 cards but find them enhanced by Worthington’s spectacular renderings. More free-spirited readers can add the additional cards when they do a reading, or leave them out as they choose.

In addition to the usual keywords and divinatory meanings, the 188-page guidebook contains associations for traditional playing cards and Celtic deities, affirmations, and special spiritual interpretations. If you love oracle decks, don’t miss this one!

Mystical Wisdom Card Deck
Mystical Wisdom Card Deck

WHAT CUSTOMERS ARE SAYING ABOUT MYSTICAL WISDOM CARD DECK:

The Mystical Wisdom deck is a treasure of an oracle. Josephine Wall is a favorite fantasy artist of mine. Her works are beautiful, soothing, inspiring, and wonderful for divination. The more you look at each work, the more details you see. U.S. Games has done a spectacular job taking these incredible pieces of art and making them into a deck. The first thing you notice is the sturdy box, with the full color design that U.S. Games does so well. The cards are oversized, just enough to give you the full effect of the intricate details of the art, but still comfortable to handle and shuffle. They chose to leave off borders which also suits the art work very well. You feel drawn into the images, as if your vision goes on beyond the cards (as well it should). The card stock is perfect; you won't get curling with use. The back of the cards are a dreamy soft pink and yellow design, reversible except for the publishers stamp. The booklet is sturdy as well, with a beautiful full color cover. This will most certainly hold up over time.

There were no corners cut in the publishing of this deck, and I think that the high quality shows a great deal of respect for the art. The cards are a collection of arch angels, animal spirits, advice and inspiration. The book is written by Gaye Guthrie, and she does a wonderful job of taking you deep into each card and drawing out it's mystical significance. She notes in the introductory paragraphs that "The purpose of the Mystical Wisdom cards is not to endorse fear of the unknown, but to inspire and uplift you by bringing peace and comfort when times are challenging and also at times when life is joyful." This is a deck you can trust to guide you in hard times. It will offer comfort, hope and advice. I know I will be turning to it in the future both for myself and my clients.

I definitely recommend buying a copy of this deck; I really feel that it will hold it's value both as a collector's item and as a useful divination tool and accompaniment.

Oracle of Visions
Oracle of Visions

What customers are saying about Oracle of Visions

Award-winning artist, Ciro Marchetti takes us to a new stage, yet again, with another dazzling and distinctive deck/book set.  The Oracle of Visions is a 52-card, eye-catching oracle deck geared toward the intuitive reader.

Those who have watched the progression of Ciro’s work with his previous decks, but have longed to completely break free from the Tarot will not be disappointed.  The Oracle of Visions, which is filled with rich and deep artwork, will take your readings to a new standard.  The deck will take you to a level that is beyond a system.  Are you ready to leave the safety net behind?

While many oracle decks will follow a reoccurring theme (Angels, flowers, dragons, etc.) throughout the deck, The Oracle of Visions takes you through 52 stand-alone pieces of art, that not only are unique and visually stunning, but each image brings its own dialogue to the table.  With this deck you will not find a common theme, so to speak, but instead you will find a vast potpourri of jesters, figures wearing masks, Victorian imagery, nature, mechanical devices and more. (Yes, I even spotted a couple of Fae).

The Oracle of Visions is a beautiful body of work and would be a treasure for any fan of Ciro Marchetti. A beginner could easily pick up this deck and find it enlightening.  The professional reader would find this deck a big draw with clientele and would be the perfect addition for collectors.

—Terri Clement, Tarot Reflections

Successful creator of the Gilded Reverie Lenormand,  Ciro Marchetti indulged his personal visual passions in order to create this energetic and highly imaginative deck.
Having explored traditional tarot imagery to the saturation point, he was looking for a new challenge. He decided to throw out preexisting formats and create an open-ended oracle deck that would allow individual mindsets to have as much to do with users’ interpretation as with his intention. The resulting 52-card deck comes alive with fantasy, theatricality, and a hint of Steampunk.
The 140-page companion book provides Marchetti’s perspective on his images and an account of his personal journey through the deck. He encourages readers to take his creations into their own hands and glean from the deck what is best for them.
My favorite cards? I am soothed by the beauty of Card 48 (Choice), drawn into the intensity of Card 8 (Dedication), stopped cold by the melancholy of Card 15 (Closure), and laughed out loud at the staunch silliness of Card 2 (Assimilation). This is a deck you will enjoy!

—Anna Jedrziewski, Tarotwise.com

From talented artist Ciro Marchetti, we have another lovely deck that functions as a fascinating oracle of learning. The journey of learning is highlighted through 52 cards which point a mirror at both our strengths and weaknesses. I see some of the following categories of life lessons throughout these cards: self-awareness, relationships, wise decision making, desires, compulsions, creativity and nurturing. Doubtless there are more themes that could be listed, and short of providing the titles and interpretations found in the book, there are sufficient images and meanings to cast our questions before the oracle.
I see, in my mind, artwork that I might call fantasy, and which the artist labels retrotech. Regardless of designations, the images are immediately absorbing, taking us into another world while simultaneously connecting us to self-reflective emotions. In other words, every card is a tableau which triggers our levels of consciousness and engages our projective identification. For example, in Card 33, (titled “Patience; Waiting for the Right Moment”), my eye can wander to each element in turn—in this situation, for the particular issue or question—and ask…am I the waiting person, or am I the kingfisher, or am I the fish below, or do I rather relate to the background flowering tree? The amazing art in each scene, each card, presents to us almost as a dream, challenging us to interpret in part, or with a spread of our choice.
The author addresses interpretations and card combinations, although no particular spreads are suggested, in this very complete but modestly sized 140 page book--thus stepping back from overseeing our understanding of the Oracle of Visions. I played with single card draws for varying issues, and I also did a few three card past/present/future layouts, and the cards chosen held significance for my concerns. The cards are the same two dimensions as found in the book, with rounded corners and an ornately designed card back with a smiling and dark-eyed mask in the center. Cards and book are at home in a sturdy box.
I recommend the Oracle of Visions for a well-designed alternative to the standard tarot, with rich images and abundant visual metaphors wandering through this enjoyable set of cards.

Vintage Wisdom Oracle
Vintage Wisdom Oracle

What customers are saying about Vintage Wisdom Oracle

Enjoy these Vintage Wisdom Oracle readings by Steven Bright

I could sit and meditate on the box cover to the Vintage Wisdom Oracle forever … it is just that well done! I love the sepia tone, the ethereal feel, and the gold embossing. I have to remember to refer to it as the “Vintage” Wisdom Oracle, because to me it has a distinctive Victorian feel, and I love the Victorian era!

The set consists of 52 cards and an 80-page guidebook, housed in a sturdy cardboard lift-top box. There is a lovely back story to this deck – it is part of an “unplanned journey” for Moseley – one that evolved over several years, one of moving from the field of interior design to the exploration and development of her own intuitive gifts!

The oracle is feminine in nature, using the inspiration of goddesses, divas, and etheric muses. It combines illustrations from vintage French postcards with old sepia-toned photographs, wild flowers, nature totems, and delicate vintage lace (I dearly love old lace!). I love that Moseley also used elements from historic painters such as John Waterhouse and Vincent Van Gogh.

The guidebook presents the cards in text only, no images. The story of each card is told in a very evocative fashion. From “Abundance”: “Here we see a depiction of Pomona, the Roman goddess of abundance and harvest of the ripe fruits and fields. She is adorned with all manner of wildflowers and forest flora, as if to celebrate the yield of nature’s bounty. Butterflies dance around her, representing transformation and a lightness of being.”

Included such thoughts as Ancestors, Divine Timing, Centering, Strength, and Wisdom. At the end of the guidebook we find a section on how to use the cards, and how to perform a reading. Five unique spreads are presented: the Four-Leaf Clover Spread, the Spyglass Spread, the Penny Farthing Spread, the Walled Garden Spread, and the Chatelaine Spread. The cover for the guidebook carries the image from the card Awakening.

The cards are absolutely entrancing! Perception shows a vintage ballerina, on stage, with her arms raised, holding a mask in her right hand. She stands in front of a red curtain, framed between two ivory pillars. Theater masks (comedy and tragedy) appear in the upper right and left hand corners of the card.

I love the layers of imagery and intent in each of these cards, and found them very easy to work with. Readers will take their own journey in reading with this deck – they need to be prepared to go deeply into their own intuition!

—BonnieCehovet.com

This oracle deck gave me the oooh’s and ahhh’s before I even opened the box. Victoria Moseley says this deck began with her designing a business card for her clairvoyant readings. The images are antique Victorian in style but there’s more...each card is layered with symbols that will be sure to enhance your intuition.

The boxed set comes with 52 illustrated cards and 80-page guidebook. There are 5 illustrated spreads in the guidebook and instructions on how you can use your deck. I love the practical approach presented by Victoria Moseley.

The card backs are as lovely as the images on the front of each card. Reversals are up to the reader but are really not needed with this deck. The cards are high quality with a silky feel that makes shuffling a soothing ritual. A keyword is printed on the front of each card which corresponds to the keyword descriptions in the guidebook. There is nothing harsh, garish or obscene in this deck—it can be used to read for any client.

I have to say that this is one of the nicest “Vintage Lady” decks that I have seen. The images are clear yet they convey mystery. It’s an interesting effect that I think you will like

This deck is perfect for those who love Vintage, those who like gentle images and those who are as intrigued by ephemera as I am.

WHAT CUSTOMERS ARE SAYING ABOUT CHAKRA INSIGHT ORACLE

I bought these cards out of sheer curiosity and they're probably the ones I use the most in my practice! These beautiful & colourful cards are practical and will provide you with clear & deep insights if you open to their wisdom & messages.

—Caroline Frenette Intuitive Leadership Coach

The Chakra Insight Oracle is a book and deck of 49 colorful cards and is, of course, linked to the basic seven chakra body-energy system. This boxed set includes a well-written text that is easy to follow and is organized on a continuum from the base to the crown chakra, and with cards filling in the degrees between the seven chakra points. For example, the book goes from the lower chakra up to the crown chakra, and when it reaches one main chakra point, there is a card for that individual chakra, say the heart chakra—Card 22. And then there are additional and related issues connecting to that chakra’s theme, such as emotional/heart concerns (heart chakra) with a card for each nuance: Forgiveness, Love, Passion, Connection, Emotional Balance, Compassion (Cards 23-28). Then the author proceeds on to the next higher chakra with Card 29, the throat chakra, with corresponding themes, or issues, for that chakra, and so on in both directions.

This structure provides a wonderful study for those interested in reinforcing their working understanding of the basic chakras and how these seven energy centers connect to our life and health. The book has 148 pages and a helpful section after the individual card interpretations includes 22 pages for the Chakra Tables, listing for each chakra: name, color, location, element, attributes, body areas, gland, archetypes, planetary connection, astrology, crystals and oils…which are associated with each particular energy center. In addition, the harmonious and also inharmonious characteristics of that chakra are outlined.

Meanings for card reversals (versus upright) are not directly given, although the author notes that an inharmonious chakra could be over or under charged. The cards are sturdy, 3 ¾ x 5 ½ inches, and have card backs in bright yellow with tinges of orange. Multi-talented professional artist Amy Edwards illustrated the cards with human figures, animals, sacred geometry, objects—and the variety of design and color is very pleasing. Each chakra “family” of cards has the main card, the chakra itself, and six other related cards (as noted above), and the card borders and color theme of each “family” match the color associated with that chakra. For example, the crown chakra cards have a purple border and the heart chakra cards carry a green theme.

The book gives an introduction and guidelines for use, including some suggested card spreads. I like the well written text, colorful cards, positive emphasis and overall focus on mind and body awareness and health which the Chakra Oracle provides.

LES VAMPIRES
LES VAMPIRES

This intriguing oracle features lady vampires as guides to both the light and dark places we encounter in our life. The wide-eyed femmes appear young, and throughout the varying images of the 44 cards, also wistful, plaintive, rebellious, saintly, angry, innocent, alluring, erudite, seductive…and more! The vampire element is not overplayed, as only a small portion of the young females display two biting incisors. Other pictorial images that repeat in the background include: nighttime ambiance, skulls, wolves, cats, indoor gothic architecture, sumptuous attire and gilded card borders and furniture.

In the companion Guidebook, the handy Contents in the beginning of the book conveniently list each card, with card number and page. In addition, helpful basics are addressed, such as blessing the deck, how to shuffle the cards, and reading for others. The 17 page introduction is comprehensive, including the discussion as to why vampires can function as effective guides, and three sample layouts are delineated: The Trinity, The Path Through the Night, and The Byzantine Cross. I will need to practice the 13 card Path Through the Night, but the Trinity with three cards and the Byzantine Cross, with six cards, were simpler for me to immediately grasp. The book is very well organized and offers much wisdom gleaned from the author’s metaphysical life experience and practice in presenting workshops. The book is 135 pages and each page of interpretation includes a small black and white image of the card, key words, card meaning (Les Vampires Speak), and further brief notes titled, “Blessing”, “Curse” and “Working with This Card”. The author notes that the short mentioning for each card under the “Curse” can refer to the reverse card position as well as pointing to remedial areas for right action, to rebalance that area of one’s life.

Jasmine Becket-Griffith’s artwork is evocative of a host of artists from the 1960s and 1970s, (one artist in particular that I recall, having traveled to the American Southwest is Ted de Grazia), who painted wide-eyed young ones—this Oracle goes beyond innocents gazing at us and becomes a compelling journey into the layered world of fantasy, attraction, and the fated journey that we walk in responding to our own impulses and the world around us.

In other words, I found an increasing notion that the Les Vampires Oracle carries a well-constructed and carefully considered set of layered archetypes and metaphors; surely there is sufficient mystery and wisdom here to both study and to play with for some time.

When you open the box of this deck and book set, you will find yourself instantly being greeted by a deck of forty-three incredibly magical beings. You can almost feel the elemental strength and protection surround you as you flip through the cards. You will find the beauty of the Faerie Realm combined with the strength of the Dragon. The artwork for The Oracle of the Dragonfae deck is that of seven different artists. There is a small bio about each one of the artists in the back of the Guidebook. The artists’ use of color in the artwork is brilliant, bold, and well thought out, creating very powerful imagery. Upon further exploration you will find that these elementals are much more than they appear. They have been designed to help us heal ourselves, others and save our planet. They encourage you to see the magic in the world around you, every day! Even though this deck is very beautiful, this is not a fluffy faerie deck. Be prepared to do some soul searching when using this oracle.

—Terri Clement, American Tarot Association

This is an absolutely gorgeous set of oracle cards visually. As with all Blue Angel Gallery products, I adore their bigger included book size, and the quality of their cards. Each of the artists used in this tarot deck are so gifted - I loved loved LOVED each of their representations, and the different energies it brings to this deck.

Aside from the beautiful visual aspects though, I need to say that this is one of the most powerful, accurate oracle cards I've been blessed to experience. Every reading I have done with it has been amazingly accurate, and the wisdom in these cards is powerful and deep.

I also need to say that from the covering box, I at first didn't pick up these cards because it has such a dark cover. (Editor’s note: The box image has been changed.) I'm so glad I did though - inside it is shining with light, and the friendship of the Dragonfaes. My highest ho! to Lucy for creating these oracle deck of miracles... you are such a blessing!

—Goddess of Leonie, Amazon customer

This is a magical deck, inspirational, and highly recommended for all who dare to enter its realm. The Dragonfae are powerful beings, if you were guided to get them, do so you will not be disappointed, the magic is immense within this deck, A++++

—Archangels, Amazon customer

This is what you will get with this oracle. The beautiful creatures plus ease of reading add up to a highly respectable oracle deck. The creatures in this deck intrigued me and kept me so. The look and feel of the cards are nothing less than supreme. They are a tad larger than norm, but I tend to like larger cards - especially as I get older.

The book is easy to read and provides a step-by-step approach for the less experienced reader and many "tips" for the master reader. This oracle works well for anyone who wants to let these magical creatures lead the way in the present, into the future or advise how to learn/cherish the past. If you like fantasy art, you will not regret giving these cards an opportunity to speak to you.

These cards are truly unique compared to some of the other oracle sets I've collected. It's not the usual rehashed mythology, but a new and refreshing take on both dragons and faeries. The colors are bright, with large, easy to read captions. Artwork is mystical and beautifully drawn.
